Unassuming housewife, Kyla has secured the top spot on the UK charts with a feature on Drake’s song
‘One Dance’ featuring herself and Wizkid.
Kyla’s song ‘Do you mind’, the funky house classic that was released in 2009 under Defenders Ent and
Northern Line Records is heard intelligently mixed into an eclectic afro/reggae influenced beat made
by Toronto producer Nineteen85.

Never in Kyla’s dreams did the talented vocalist imagine that seven years after releasing her song – a
song that is a regular play in the UK club scene that apparently captured Drake’s ear spontaneously
two years ago – would go number one.

A young lady who took time out of music to get married and start a family, has truly had a dream
come true. One Dance has captured the world, with covers by Conor Maynard and Miami – based
Dominican singer, Fuego being shared online.

The beauty of this collaboration has opened unlimited doors for Kyla, the multi-skilled singer has a
versatile sound with an angelic yet encompassing tone that sits beautifully on R&B and pop.
Grateful for this amazing opportunity, Kyla thought it was an April fools joke when she received the
news that international artist Drake wanted to feature her on his track.

Drake released ‘One Dance’ which has further fuelled anticipation for his long awaited album ‘Views
from the 6’, featuring Kyla has created a demand for all things ‘Kyla’.
A dream come true for a woman who ironically recently began rebuilding her catalogue of music.
Keep a look out for Kyla’s humble rise to global recognition.
